Elvis Mogesa Ongiri

Student Commissioner

Elvis Mogesa Ongiri serves as a Student Commissioner at AfSIL. He is a final year law student at Kabarak University, Nakuru, Kenya and the former Editor-in-Chief of Kabarak Law Review. He is also a Research Assistant at ILINA Program researching AI safety governance.

He has a keen interest in critical international law having published in reputable international law platforms such as American Journal of International Law: Unbound and Opinio Juris. His recent publication in AJIL Unbound, “Decolonizing Intertemporal Law through the Lens of the Mau Mau Reparations Campaign”, appears in the symposium ‘What Can International Law Repair?’ alongside reputable scholars of international law.
